DESCRIPTION
"Red" is an animation that touches on the subject of nowadays social problems regarding homophobia. The main character is being bullied for not acting as the male that he is.
Due to COVID-19, the completion of this animation has been delayed.

CONCEPT DESIGN
During the first stages of the story, the second main character, Owen, was intended to have a mean attitude towards the protagonist, Silver. His designs featured scars and a well-built body in comparison to the frail Silver, who also wore a red flower.
Later, the storyboard changed drastically so I had to redo all of the designs for the characters, including their heads and bodies to be able to tell them apart easier.
Those sketches represent the studies I did to achieve different personalities through head shapes.

You can clearly notice the difference between the two characters from both color perspective and body shape compared to the first designs.
Bonn & Cide are the antagonists of the story. The bully Siver because of his passion for flowers.
Their design are quite simple, matching colors to show they are a couple. Bonn having a model hourglass body shape and Cide with the muscular and well built body.
The last character of the story is a little hedgehog who will appear on screen just for a couple of seconds so his design is quite simple.
The backgrounds were my main focus of the animation because the color "red" would appear whenever one of the characters needed guidance.
The branches of the trees would also act as way signs to guide the eye towards the way of the movement.
